# Can Savvy Navvy suggest the best departure time?

Savvy Navvy does not currently recommend an exact day and time for departure. Instead, our smart routing calculates the best route for **the date and time you select**, factoring in wind, weather, tides, and your vessel settings.

To find the optimal departure time:

1. Set your planned **date**.
2. Scroll through the available **times** for that day.
3. Compare how each time affects your route, speed, and conditions.


This method makes it easy to spot when the tides, wind, and weather line up for the smoothest or fastest trip.
