# How to Switch Between Weather Forecasting Models (GFS and ECMWF Mixed)?

Savvy Navvy offers two weather forecasting models — **GFS** and **ECMWF Mixed** — so you can choose the one that best suits your needs and subscription plan.

* **GFS (Global Forecast System)** – Available on all plans, 25 km resolution, up to 36-hour forecast.
* **ECMWF Mixed** – Available on selected plans, blends ECMWF data with over 25 other models, higher resolution (0.8–6 km), up to 14-day forecast.

Switching between them is quick and easy using the **Weather tab**.

### Steps to Switch Weather Models

1. **Tap the Weather Tab**
On the bottom bar of the app, tap Weather to open the forecasting tools.

2. **Place the Weather Pin**
Tap anywhere on the chart to drop a pin at the location where you want to see the forecast.

3. **Open the Weather Sheet**
Swipe up on the weather information panel to expand the forecast view.

4. **Toggle Between GFS and ECMWF**
At the top of the weather sheet, tap GFS or ECMWF to switch models instantly. The chart and forecast data will update automatically.


###### Why Switch Models?

* **Compare forecasts** to get a better sense of potential variations.
* **Access longer-range forecasts** with ECMWF Mixed (up to 14 days).
* **Benefit from higher resolution** in coastal areas with ECMWF Mixed for more accurate local conditions.

💡 *Tip:* If you’re on a plan that doesn’t include ECMWF Mixed, tapping it will prompt you with options to upgrade.
