How to export a route as a GPX file?

Savvy Navvy is an invaluable tool for planning and navigating your boating adventures. If you want to take your route planning a step further by importing your plotted route into your chart plotter, savvy navvy makes it easy. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to download a plotted route as a GPX file, which you can then import into your chart plotter for seamless navigation.


Here's a step-by-step guide on how to export your savvy navvy route as a GPX file:

Open savvy navvy:

Launch the savvy navvy app on your device.

Load up your Saved Route or Plot a new Route:

Tap on the "Saved" tab in the lower right-hand corner to load up a route you've saved. Once loaded up replot it to have the export option available.
If you already have the route plotted on the chart move to the next step.

Export as GPX:

Once you have a plotted route, simply navigate to the bottom info sheet, tap on the "More..." button and select "Export".



Where is the File Stored:

On your mobile device, savvy navvy will ask you where you'd like to save or share your GPX file. On PC/Mac the file will simply be downloaded and saved directly on your device.
