How can I change the starting point of my route/trip different from my current location?
Customizing the starting point of your route or trip in savvy navvy is easy and intuitive. When creating a new route within the app, you'll have the option to manually input your desired starting location. Whether you know the coordinates of your starting point, want to search for a specific place or landmark, or prefer to drop a pin on the map, savvy navvy offers flexibility to accommodate your preferences. Simply select your desired starting location, and our app will adjust the route accordingly, ensuring that you have a personalized navigation experience tailored to your needs.
It's important to remember that after dropping at least two waypoints on the chart you need to use the Plot route button and not the blue START button - tapping on the latter will automatically enter you into Active Navigation mode, which will move your starting waypoint to your current location.
Use the blue START button only when you're physically at waypoint A of your route!
If you'd like to inspect your plotted route you can always use the Preview button, which is located in the route info panel (bottom of the screen for mobile phones; right-hand side for tablets and iPads).
