How to export a route as a GPX file?
Savvy Navvy isn’t just another marine navigation app. It’s the only one that builds intelligent routes based on wind, weather, tide, your boat settings and even local regulations. That means smarter, safer passage planning at your fingertips.
If you want to take that planning a step further by using your route on a chartplotter, we make it simple. This guide will show you how to export your Savvy Navvy route as a GPX file and import it into your chartplotter for seamless onboard navigation.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to export your Savvy Navvy route as a GPX file:
- Open Savvy Navvy:
Launch the Savvy Navvy app on your device.
- Load up your Saved Route or plot a new route:
If you already have the route plotted on the chart move to the next step.
Tap on the "Logbook" tab in the lower right-hand corner to load up a route you've saved. Tap the route you'd like to export and replot with up-to-date wind, weather and tides by tapping "Plot Route" on the next screen.
- Export as GPX:
Once you have a plotted route, simply navigate to the bottom info sheet, tap on the "More..." button and select "Export".
- Where is the File Stored:
On your mobile device, Savvy Navvy will ask you where you'd like to save or share your GPX file.
On PC/Mac the file will simply be downloaded and saved directly on your device.
