How to Set Your Home Port
Setting a home port saves your mooring, marina or launch spot in Savvy Navvy so it's always close to hand. Once it's set, you can quickly add it as the starting point or destination of a route instead of searching for it or dropping a pin each time.
Where to find it
Your home port lives in your Logbook:
- Tap the Logbook icon in the bottom bar
- Make sure you're on the Markers tab
- Your home port sits at the very top of the list
Setting your home port
- In Logbook > Markers, tap Add home port
- The Select your home port screen will open, showing nearby ports and marinas with their distance from you
- Choose your location using any of these options:
- Pick from the list of nearby ports and marinas
- Search for a port or marina by name
- Coordinates to type in an exact position
- On chart to drop a pin anywhere on the chart
- Your location to use where you are right now
- Tap Save
What you can do with your home port
Tap your home port to open it, and you'll be able to:
- Navigate to it
- Edit the port
- Add a waypoint for a route
- Save it as a saved marker
- Share the marker with someone else
Tap the three dots (⋯) next to your home port for quick actions:
- Edit to change the location
- Share to send it to someone
- Delete to remove it
Changing your home port
Cruising from somewhere new this season? Just tap the three dots next to your home port and tap Edit, then choose your new location the same way you set the first one.
