How to Update Offline Chart Packs

Keeping your offline chart packs up to date ensures you have the latest charts, weather, and tidal data at your fingertips — even when you’re out of cell range. Available on the Premium Plan (US) and Explore & Elite plans (rest of the world), this feature lets you safely plot and recalculate routes, check local conditions, and navigate confidently without an internet connection.

Updating your offline packs is essential to ensure you have the latest chart and weather data at your fingertips.

Follow these steps to keep your offline chart packs up to date

Open Savvy Navvy:

Launch the Savvy Navvy app on your Android or iOS device.

Access the Offline Charts Section:

Click on the three horizontal lines (often referred to as the "hamburger menu") located at the top left corner of your screen.
From the menu, select "Offline Charts."

Check for Updates:

Within the "Offline Charts" section, look for your existing offline packs.
Savvy Navvy will display the date and time of the last update for each pack.
If the data is outdated, it's time to update!

Update the Chart Pack:

Tap on the 3-dot menu of specific offline pack you want to update.
Now tap on the "Update" button.
Savvy Navvy will connect to the internet (if available) and fetch the latest data for that area.

Verify the Update:

Once the update is complete, Savvy Navvy will show the new update timestamp.
Confirm that the data is current and accurate.

Repeat for Other Packs:

If you have multiple offline packs, repeat the process for each one.
Regularly check for updates to all your downloaded chart packs.

Enjoy the Latest Data:

With updated offline packs, you'll have access to the most recent charts, waypoints, and weather information.
Savvy Navvy's features will continue to work seamlessly, whether you're online or offline.

Remember to Update Periodically:

Whenever you have an internet connection, take a moment to update your offline packs.
This ensures you're always prepared for your next adventure on the water.
