Setting the Minimum Depth for Your Boat
When you first created your Savvy Navvy account, you likely entered your boat’s details — including minimum depth — during setup. This value is important because it tells Savvy Navvy how shallow you can safely go. Your routes will then avoid areas that are too shallow for your vessel.
You can update your minimum depth setting at any time if your requirements change. For example, you might adjust it if you add a keel extension, change vessels, or want extra clearance for a trip in unfamiliar waters.
- Open the Main Menu
Tap or click the three horizontal bars (menu icon) in the top left corner of the screen.
- Go to Boat Settings
Select Boat Settings from the menu.
- Adjust the Minimum Depth
Use the slider to set your desired minimum depth.
• Choose a depth that suits your vessel’s draft plus a safety margin.
Once updated, Savvy Navvy will automatically factor your minimum depth into all future routes, helping you avoid grounding hazards and navigate with confidence.
