Using Chart Overlays in Savvy Navvy

Savvy Navvy’s chart overlays let you customise what you see on the map so you can focus on the information that matters most for your trip. You can adjust both chart types and chart details from within the app.

Where to Find Chart Overlays

1. Open the Savvy Navvy app.
2. Look for the diamond icon on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Tap it to open the Chart Overlays menu.

Chart Types

You can choose one chart type at a time, including:

• Default
• Night mode
• Satellite

Default

Standard Savvy Chart™ with full marine navigation symbols and depth information.

Night Mode

A darker, low-glare colour scheme designed for use in low-light conditions. Helps preserve night vision and reduce eye strain.

Satellite View

High-resolution satellite imagery of the coastline and land areas, useful for visual references when approaching shore.

Chart Details

You can toggle multiple chart details on or off at the same time, over any of the Chart Types, to add extra layers of information to your chart. Chart Details include:

• Wind
• Tidal Streams
• Internet AIS
• Clouds & Precipitation

Wind

Displays forecasted wind direction and speed.

Tidal Streams

Shows tidal flow direction and strength at your location or across your planned route.

Internet AIS

Shows real-time AIS (Automatic Identification System) targets for vessels broadcasting their position.

Clouds & Precipitation

A weather-focused map style showing current and forecast cloud cover, rain, or snow patterns.
