Which Time Zones Does Savvy Navvy Use?

Savvy Navvy always displays times based on the time zone set on your device. This ensures your route planning and navigation stay consistent with the time you’re used to seeing, wherever you are in the world.

How It Works

  • If your phone or tablet is set to UK time (BST) and you plot a route from Cowes, Isle of Wight to The Hague, Netherlands, all times shown will be in BST.
  • Even if you reverse the route, the times will still display in your device’s local time zone.
  • This applies to all times shown in Savvy Navvy — whether you’re planning routes, viewing tides, or checking weather forecasts.

Why We Do It This Way

Keeping times in your device’s time zone makes it easier to plan accurately without converting between UTC, local port times, or other formats. If you change your device’s time zone settings, Savvy Navvy will automatically update to match.
